Given this week’s events in Los Angeles, which naturally consume most of today’s front page, it is heartening that the story “Lethal algae bloom is now over, but marine wildlife not safe yet” also made it onto that front page. It’s a testament to the editors’ understanding of how deeply Angelenos care about wildlife and the natural environment.

I hope you will take a moment to express that care and your appreciation.
