I urge you to please respond to this op-ed , printed on page 12 of today's, December 27, Sun Sentinel, (all editions) titled, "International organization’s monkey business will slow medical research."
It is by Matthew Bailey, president of the Foundation for Biomedical Research, and tells readers that because long-tailed macaques are "prevalent" and often considered an "invasive species" it is fine to experiment on them, and that they are "indispensable" to medical research.
If you have the knowledge that refutes his medical argument, please use it, but if you don't, then a letter from the heart, about compassion and the best of what it is to be human, will be invaluable. ...Continue Reading
